Garden Office
Mr and Mrs Thornton needed a home office to run their business from.
They looked everywhere in the Southwest, including Bristol, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall.
They ordered an office from us and were delighted, commenting:
"Having acquired a new business, we found ourselves in the position of requiring additional office space, but wanted the freedom of working from home.
Having a fairly difficult site with regard to useable space we found ourselves struggling with the “traditional” home office buildings available on the market.
We approached John Shields with our requirements, and were very happy with the flexible approach he bought to the problem, utilising a modular build solution and giving us exactly what we wanted. In fact the office we have now is better, and blends in to the home environment a lot better than the alternatives from other suppliers.
The office includes full insulation and interior panelling, which gives it a true office feel and not the impression of working inside a garden shed. In fact the insulation is so efficient that even in winter we do not need any heating after the initial warm up period!
From the initial enquiry through to final design and costing we found that all promises and deadlines were kept. This included a site visit to advise us of the suitability of the location and what groundwork and services were required.
A key part of our decision was cost, and we were particularly attracted by the fact that this would be a true turnkey project, with all services installed to our specification at a very competitive cost to us.
Delivery was on time, an extremely efficient, courteous team arriving in the morning, and completed 90% of the full office erection, including the insulation and panelling by the end of the day.
The finishing was actually finished the next day – Christmas Eve at a time when most companies would have started their seasonal break.
In summary we are extremely pleased with both the service and product we received from John Shields, and would be more than happy to recommend his services to anybody having a similar requirement."
