Large Stable Block

Mr and Mrs D moved into a farm with no equestrian buildings.  They needed stables, hay store, tack room, workshop and a tractor shed.  They were very impressed with John Shields’ display and showroom at North Tawton, just 20 miles from Exeter and only one hour from Taunton.

The centrepiece of the project is a U shaped stable block complete with roof-top clock.  Gates and post and rail fencing finished the job off.

Mr and Mrs D chose John Shields Woodwork because of the pressure treated timber buildings with very strong box profile steel roofing built to last.

They also liked the plywood kick-board lined stables and doors with anti-chew strips.  Talk grills were included between each loose box.  Two corner boxes were included which are ideal for foaling.
