Garden Studio, Okehampton.

A customer from Okehampton visited the large display area at North Tawton and new that she had found the garden room she was looking for. The shingle roof and painted exterior finish were exactly what the customer required.

The new range of Dartmoor studios from John Shields includes laminated flooring, painted interior and exterior finishes and a choice of slate or shingle roofing. All door and window woodwork is given a full 3 coats of high quality paint. The exterior walls are finished in a choice of Sikkens opaque timber protection colours.

The buildings are insulated to the highest standards with Celotex insulation and double glazing with a low energy coating.

The customer chose Georgian windows which she felt were in keeping with her house. Planning approval was obtained from Dartmoor National Park, without trouble.

The interior walls were finished in Neatmatch mdf boarding, painted in magnolia. Uplights, heating and power sockets provided the necessary electrical requirements.
